5 Flavor Pound Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 2 sticks of butter
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 cups of flour (softassik cake flour)
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 tsp of each flavoring (lemon, vanilla, coconut, rum, and butter)
- 1/2 cup of Crisco
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 tsp of baking powder
Topping
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp of each flavoring plus almond
- 1/2 cup of very hot water
Instructions
Cake
- Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder.
- Add flour and milk altertnatively to creamed mixture.
- Add flavorings and mix well.
- Bake in a greased and floured bundt pan or tube pan for 1.5 hours at 325°f.
- When finished let cake stand for 15 minutes.
- Pierce cake all over and pour toppings mixture over cake.
- Turn out on plate and spoon rest of the mixture over the cake.
